PUTIN CALLS RUSSIAN ARMY TO STAY OUTSIDE POLITICS








MOSCOW, March 6. /RIA Novosti/. The Russian army must get more efficient if it is to enhance its prestige, President Vladimir Putin said in an internet interview in the Kremlin.


	He pointed out an available public realisation that the army must promote state interests and protect the entire nation, and called the army to proficiency through drill and latter-day equipment. "No doubt, the army must keep outside politics," added the President.


	The army and other armed institutions need public control. This and soldiers' high living standards are sure to improve the situation, holds the President.
