The Russian airline's representative office said the landing was requested from the Calcutta ground control because an Indian passenger had begun to give birth. The medics called into the airport delivered the baby, with the mother and child taken to a city maternity ward afterward. They are currently feeling well. The airliner resumed the flight an hour after the forced landing.
