IN MIR SCUTTLING PERILOUS MICROBES WILL NOT REACH EARTH








MOSCOW, MARCH 6. /RIA NOVOSTI'S CORRESPONDENT EDUARD PUZYREV/ -- In scuttling the Mir orbital station in the ocean dangerous microbes residing on its hull will not reach the earth, said on Tuesday specialists from the Institute of Medico-Biological Problems. 


	When Mir enters the upper atmosphere, its hull will become incandescent from air friction. With loss of altitude Mir's structural elements will become heated to a temperature over 1,000 Celsius and the station will start falling into pieces. No microbe can survive at this temperature. (nov/kaf)
