RUSSIA-NIGERIA TRADE TURNOVER TO BE INCREASED








MOSCOW, MARCH 6, 2001 /FROM RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT OLEG OSIPOV/ -- In the next 4-5 years Russian-Nigerian turnover must be increased up to 500 million dollars a year, said Russian President Vladimir V. Putin opening Russia-Nigeria extended-format negotiations.


	Vladimir Putin said that completing the construction of a metal works in Nigeria and ways to extend joint activities in oil extraction and energy resources exploitation had been high on the agenda of the talks with Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.


	In addition, the sides discussed military-technical cooperation of Russia and Nigeria, noted the Russian leader.
