PUTIN: RUSSIA-NIGERIA RELATIONS FACE GOOD PROSPECTS FOR DEVELOPMENT








MOSCOW, MARCH 6, 2001 /from RIA Novosti correspondent Oleg  Osipov/ -- Russia-Nigeria relations face good prospects for  development, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Tuesday  in the Kremlin on opening negotiations with President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo.  


	The head of the Russian state noted that Nigeria is an  authoritative state not only on the African continent but also in the world. Vladimir Putin pointed to the efforts the Nigerian  president takes to develop democratic processes in his country.
