SHE-BEAR AND FEMALE BOA COSTRICTOR GIVE BIRTH TO OFFSPRING "AWAY FROM HOME" ULYANOVSK. /RIA Novosti correspondent Lyubov Chilikova/. In the Moscow travelling zoo, which is now on a visit to Ulyanovsk (on the Volga), a family of brown bears had two cubs born to it. Almost simultaneously, in the Tula state mobile exotarium (Tula is a city next to Moscow), which is also visiting Ulyanovsk, a new addition appeared to a family of imperial boa constrictors. For exotarium staff the appearance of six boa babies, which were called "laces", came as a pleasant surprise, because commonly snakes reproduce only in a stationary facility. The six little boas, each 20 centimetres long, were placed in a separate winterised aquarium and will not be fed until after moulting.
