GOVERNMENT DISCUSSES FUTURE ECONOMIC POLICY IN RUSSIA MOSCOW, MARCH 2, 2001. /RIA NOVOSTI/. A midterm strategy of the Russian government for 2002-2004, which is being currently worked out by the Economy and Trade Ministry, contains some serious discrepancies, Russian Economy Minister German Gref informed the press. According to him, his Ministry has not defined Russia's midterm economic policy yet. That is why all possible variants of economic development will be presented to the Russian government, which will chose the necessary one. Gref emphasized that the vistas of Russian business and foreign investors' activity in this country will depend on the variant of economic policy. The project of the midterm economic strategy will be presented to the Cabinet in April, this year.
