SERBIA BANS ALL MEAT IMPORTS BELGRADE, MARCH 2, 2001, /RIA-NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT SERGEI RYABIKIN/ -- Serbia's Agriculture Ministry has banned the importation of all beef, mutton, pork and goat-meat into the republic. All meat trans-shipments are also forbidden. The ministry's statement, which was circulated here today, notes that the afore-said ban covers the importation of ready-made products, meat feedstock and carcass-recycling waste from Great Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, Belgium and other European countries, which have registered cases of the mad-cow disease and other animal diseases.
