PRESIDENT OF FINLAND HIGHLY ASSESSES VLADIMIR PUTIN'S ACTIVITY








HELSINKI, MARCH 1, 2001. /FROM RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT LEONID LAAKSO/. President of Finland Tarja Halonen highly appraises the activity of Vladimir Putin as head of the Russian state. She stressed that "Russia has a capable president who wants to work efficiently." She also pointed out that Russia has now a stable government and prime-minister.


	According to the Finnish president, the prerequisites for successful development of bilateral relations with Russia are better today than ever before.
