VLADIMIR GUSINSKY IS NO LONGER PRESIDENT OF RUSSIAN JEWISH CONGRESS MOSCOW, MARCH 1, 2001, /from a RIA Novosti Correspondent/ -- Vladimir Gusinsky has taken the decision to stop down as President of the Russian Jewish Congress. He said this himself in a statement on radio station Ekho Moskvy today. According to the radio station, Gusinsky motivated his step by the "current situation in connection with which he cannot visit Russia and regularly and efficiently exercise the functions of head of the Congress. According to Ekho Moskvy, Gusinsky remains member of the Russian Jewish Congress' leadership and Vice-President of the World Jewish Congress for Russia.
