Feature Vectors

Parsing the 127 pieces of music resulted in 2.975 segments of 5 sec duration, represented by 4352-dimensional feature vectors. Using these feature vectors, a 18x18 SOM was trained representing the individual music segments. Based on the distribution of the segments, as 18x18, i.e. 324-dimensional feature vector was created for each piece of music and used to train a 10x10 SOM representing the individual songs. All feature vectors have been normalized to unit length prior to map training.

free_seg.vector.gz: 2975 feature vectors representing the individual segments in a 4352-dimensional feature space. (gnu-zipped, 94MB)
free_music.vector.gz: 127 feature vectors describing the pieces of music in a 324-dimensional feature space based on their distribution on the 18x18 segment map. (gnu-zipped, 29KB)
