MediaEval is a benchmarking initiative for multimedia access and retrieval. MediaEval tasks are based on real-world use cases arising in human social contexts and in networked multimedia communities. A special session entitled "Automatic Tagging and Geo-Tagging in Video Collections and Communities" with papers related to MediaEval tasks will take place at the 2011 ACM International Conference on Multimedia Retrieval (April 17-20 in Trento, Italy). |
The ICMR special session offers a look back at 2010 and a look forward to the tasks offered in 2011.
Participation in MediaEval 2011 is open to any interested group that would like to signup. Tasks offered include Geo-tagging, Genre tagging, Violence Detection and Social Event detection, as well as several spoken content tasks.
