RUSSIA READY TO SUPPORT MACEDONIAN REQUEST FOR UN SECURITY COUNCIL SESSION MOSCOW, 5 March. /Corr. RIA Novosti/ -- Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov has told journalists that Russia is ready to support a Macedonian request for an extraordinary session of the UN Security Council to discuss the situation on the border of Macedonia and the Yugoslavian province of Kosovo. Ivanov was quoted as saying "if such an appeal is made, then, we, of course, will support it."
