EUROPEAN UNION PLACED 46 MILLIONS EURO FOR YOUTH PROJECTS IN RUSSIA READY MOSCOW, 2 March. / RIA "Nowosti" rIA-"Nowosti"-Korrespondent Alexander Iwastschenko /. in the years 1996-1999 had supplied the European union 46 millions euro for the implementation of projects to the support for youth politics in Russia. That indicated Richard WRIGHT, director/conductor of the agency to the European commission in Russia. In his speech on the common Russian-European youth summit in Moscow WRIGHT underlined that these means had been supplied within the framework of the TACIS program and determined for the implementation by projects for health service, occupation and education. On the summit spoke also the director of the TACIS program Timo Summa, which indicated that one plans to intend some main projects in common work on the support for young people. The household of each of these projects will amount to 1 to 10 million dollar. The priorities of the Russian government will have a great importance at the time of the execution of the youth policy, stressed Timo Summa.
