INTERNATIONAL BANK FINANCES THE RESETTLEMENT OF RUSSIAN CITIZENS FROM UNITING CITIES OF THE HIGH NORTH NORILSK, 2 March. / RIA "Nowosti" rIA-"Nowosti"-Korrespondent Boris Iwanow /. a group of experts of the international bank for reconstruction and development (IBRD) completed the four-day work in Norilsk, a polar city. Together with the administration of the city and the guidance of the Norilsker mining company alterations at the pilot project assumed in former times were made for IBRD participation in the financing of the resettlement of a section of inhabitants by Norilsk after southern areas of the region Krasnojarsk and in cities of the European section of Russia. As the deputy mayor indicated von Norilsk Arkadi Genkin of the RIA " Nowosti ", Norilsk have to leave over 4000 families in accordance with the pilot project, whose conversion is to already begin in this October. The IBRD has the intention of supplying for the building of dwellings for it in different cities of the country 38 million dollar. It is assumed that the IBRD Direktorenrat must make the final decision over the supply of this total in the middle of April. At the same time the IBRD guidance plans to make decisions over the financing of two other pilot projects for the resettlement of inhabitants from such large northern cities as Magadan and Workuta. Experts mean that the optimal number of the population of Norilsk is not to exceed 150,000 to 160,000 inhabitants. But today it is around 80,000 inhabitants more.
