RANGE OF THE GOLD AND FOREIGN EXCHANGE RESERVES OF RUSSIA








MOSCOW, 1 March.  / RIA "Nowosti" Korr. /.  The range of the gold and
foreign exchange reserves of Russia had amounted by 23 February 2001
to 28,7 billion dollar opposite 28,9 billion dollar by 16 February
2001.  That one indicated the RIA to " Nowosti " in the section PR and
external relations of the central bank of Russia.

Thus the range of the gold and foreign exchange reserves in the course
of the week decreased/went back around 200 million dollar.
