IT IS NECESSARY TO SUPPORT EMPLOYEE-OWNED ENTERPRISES MOSCOW, March 5, RIA Novosti correspondent Nikolai Makarov - The Left-Democratic Movement Rossiya (Russia) attaches great importance to the development and support of employee-owned enterprises in the country, said Chairman of the State Duma (the Lower House of the Russian Parliament) Gennady Seleznev, addressing the scientific-practical seminar "Employee-Owned Enterprises in Russia." Gennady Seleznev pointed out that employee-owned enterprises, established through their corporatisation by work collectives, embody "the ideas of industrial democracy and contribute to the achievement of the balance of the working people's social rights and economic interests." According to Gennady Seleznev, "the development of employee-owned enterprises in our country is not going on smoothly. They come across tremendous difficulties."
